Lessons learned:

A Congo visa is not valid in Cameroon
Beware of the ants
Allow for 11 visits to bureaucratic offices and 4 hours to cross the Sangha river
‘Seal lined’ bags are not waterproof
Always put your passport in a ziplock bag
They don’t call it the rainy season for nothing
